Lion-Hearted

Restoring the heart using light and organic nanotechnology

The aim of this project is to demonstrate a novel optoceutic platform that will restore cardiac function and rescue the systemic blood perfusion – both of which are problems often encountered among patients with heart failures or cardiovascular disease disorders. The team will develop light and organic nanotechnology which are non-invasive and have higher selectivity with respect to traditional electrical and pharmaceutical control methods.
