A novel battery with polymer gel electrolyte with the potential to store very high energy
AMAPOLA – A Marketable Polymer based Al-S battery – is optimising the technology for flexible Al/S-based batteries, exploiting novel inexpensive polymer gel electrolytes with very high conductivity. The goal is to enable greater energy storage capabilities compared to Li–ion batteries at a lower price for selected markets including transport and aerospace.
The project is a FET Proactive Project that will foster the developments achieved in the FET-Open SALBAGE project, towards real applications and towards market.
